Bringing singing and songwriting together with the history of Yorkshire's smuggling coast.
Invite our team to work in your school, company or charity.
Schools
We work with both Primary and Secondary schools to bring the singing of classic shanties and vocal exercises to promote teamwork, develop confidence and boost wellbeing.
Additionally, we can incorporate songwriting as part of the visit. This develops skills in literacy, numeracy, teamwork and confidence.
Festivals
Smugglers Workshops bring family fun and education to festivals – with sessions that can be tailored for specific age groups and whole families. They include singing of classic shanties, sea-themed games, history-made-fun and on-the-spot songwriting.
They can also include performances by the Saltburn Smugglers and Saltburn Children’s Shanty Choir (subject to booking).
Companies
Discover your inner pirate! Our corporate workshops build on core teamworking skills to explore easy group singing, vocal warmups to enhance confidence, presentation skills with a wide application and lastly, how smuggling history can strangely benefit your workplace scenario!
